HOW DO I GET INTO THE BUSINESS
Q: Do I have what it takes?
A: A model no longer needs to look a certain way in order to succeed. Looks can range from character to cutie. As lifestyles change, so do the trends in television commercials, advertising, fashion, and print ads. Socioeconomic trends play an important role in determining which looks will be in demand. Model and Talent Agents decide who they wish to represent based on their clients current demands. Often, more important than any physical feature is attitude, a sparkle from within and a personality! This will inspire decision makers to book the appropriate model/talent. The modelling field is very diversified and utilizes people of many different looks and talents. "Real People" is a huge market these days. Persistence and professionalism are the keys to success!
Q: Does one need to take a course?
A: If one is entering into the modelling/acting business with no experience, it may be wise to look into taking a course. A course will provide the newcomer with a foundation upon which to build confidence, poise and an understanding of how the industry works. The skills and knowledge acquired during training can be applied to any other pursuits or endeavors.
Q: Can anyone take this course?
A: The modelling/acting program is an excellent way for anyone to gain self confidence and poise. The course also teaches manners/etiquette, posture, makeup application, in addition to photography, runway, and television. This course is fabulous for anyone who just wants to feel better about themselves!
Q: What do Lornik's workshops and courses offer?
A: An excellent way of learning about more than just modelling. One will learn how to feel more confident about themselves, how to conduct themselves in an interview, poise, etiquette (which in today's society seems to have been forgotten). However, in order to excel and be the best one can, one must put their best foot forward at all times! The people that are most polite, personable and punctual are the ones that will obtain most of the jobs.
